 Ask Aniket Gaikwad, an MBA graduate who gave up a corporate high income salary job and turned into a photographer.

Aniket captures the small joys in life, like your feet touching the sand, a delectable plate of pasta, a beautiful view or a nice sunny day. It’s these moments, when everything is beautiful, that he’s looking out for. “My traditional film camera is always with me and I take a picture, if I feel there’s something special,” he says. “It can be anywhere, in a huge city or far away at a remote place, because both can be inspirational and magic is everywhere.

He never took up a professional degree in photography, but while he was small and yet at school, he attended workshops. Perhaps till that age he wasn’t serious about taking photography as his career. He realized it much later, during his MBA years, that his heart lies somewhere else. So after a brief stint in corporate he gave up chasing the figures and started chasing the images. The path for his future journey was set. He has been an assistant to various renowned Cinematographers for diverse projects, including feature films. He has been so passionate and dedicated towards achieving perfection in his work, that he went on assisting almost for five years, so that he has honed even the minutest details of his craft.

As a professional photographer and cinematographer his work has allowed him the opportunity to travel far and wide in the pursuit of telling stories that are visually compelling. He has shot feature films in multiple languages and various cities, including Pune, Chennai, and Mumbai. He believes in reinventing himself with every new story.
